Really well written. 🔥This is such a clear and thought-provoking distinction between impact and change. While I don’t work for a nonprofit and haven’t had direct experience in that world, the “linear trap” really resonated with me... especially the idea that we can keep repeating helpful actions without changing the core problem!

Thank you! I'm happy to hear you found this useful. I believe nonprofits truly have the potential to make a significant impact if we can connect them and align their efforts for change. Maybe this is a chance for you to find a local nonprofit that inspires you.

I watched an incredible documentary years ago called "Angry Inuk"... it's all about this topic but to do with Seal hunting. It was eye opening and not from the perspective you think. It exposes the problems you mention: https://www.nfb.ca/film/angry_inuk/

My mom is on the board of the animals society here and I support her in her work! But yes, I'd like to find others I am passionate about. Now that I think of it I was on the board of Women in Film and TV years ago! It was a non-profit to do with gender equality in film.

I commend you for your work!! It takes a lot of passion and time and I'm always amazed by people.
